Eric Haas
MD
Dr. Haas is the Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital and the Colorectal Quality Officer at HCA Houston Healthcare. He’s a renowned expert in robotic and minimally invasive colorectal surgery. He has developed enhanced techniques for treating disease and presents his work around the globe. Dr. Haas completed specialty fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Medical School and now lives in Houston with his wife and five children.
Joshua C. Coursey
MD
Dr. Coursey specializes in malignant and benign anorectal disorders, pelvic floor disorders, and fecal incontinence. He applies modern simulation technology and investigates advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Coursey helps minimize postoperative pain and length of hospital stay. He is certified in general surgery by the American College of Surgeons and colon and rectal surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He lives in Houston with his wife and two girls.
Mark Edgcomb

Dr. Edgcomb takes a collaborative and holistic approach to colon and rectal care and offers to personalize his care to each patient. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marquette University and a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and an active member of several professional surgeon memberships. Dr. Edgcomb enjoys fishing and golfing with his family.
Rachel Ellsworth
MD
Dr. Ellsworth is a colon and rectal surgeon who strives to provide the highest quality of care with compassion and sensitivity. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Loyola College in Maryland and a Master’s in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. She is double board certified and completed her fellowship training at the esteemed UT Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship program. Dr. Ellsworth has developed a respected and successful colon & rectal surgery practice.
Jean Paul LeFave

Dr. LeFave is a board-certified surgeon specializing in surgical care for colon and rectal cancer, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis. He practices modern techniques for rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence. He earned his MD at New York Medical College. His expertise includes colon cancer surgery, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, J pouch, precancerous polyps, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, pilonidal disease, fecal incontinence, and perirectal abscess.
Matthew D. Weaver
MD
Dr. Weaver is a surgery specialist who treats anorectal issues, including anal fissures, fistulas, abscesses, and hemorrhoids. He stays current on scientific techniques and addresses his patient’s specific needs. Virginia Alagugurusamy, AGACNP-BC, is an acute care nurse practitioner focusing on treating colorectal patients, certified with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses in progressive care. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Science in Nursing and Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman's University. She sees patients independently and with the surgeons to provide optimal patient care and coordination.

Virginia Goranova, RN, MSN, FNP-C focuses on helping patients to return to enjoying their daily lives. She provides individualized, evidence-based care to empower patients with medical knowledge and educational tools. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing.

Karlee Krum, MPAS, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant focused on Colon and Rectal Surgery. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She works to educate her patients on medical conditions and decision-making. She is dedicated to definitive treatment for many colorectal diseases and helps provide life-saving treatments to prolong and increase the quality of life.
